# How to report content or block someone

> Flag a trip, review or profile that breaks the rules, and cut off someone you would rather not deal with.

Reporting sends something to moderation; blocking removes a person from your experience. They are different tools and you can use both. Neither tells the other person what you did.

## Report a trip, a review or a profile

Use the flag action on the thing itself — a trip, a stop, a review, a note or a profile. Pick a reason and add anything that helps.

Reporting from the item carries the context with it, which is why it is better than emailing us a description. You do not need an account to report from a public share page.

## Choosing a reason

The reasons are: child sexual abuse material, sexual content, violence or threats, hate speech, harassment, spam, and other.

Pick the closest one — it decides how urgently the report is handled. **Anything involving a child is treated as the highest priority** and goes into a separate queue.

## What happens after I report?

It joins the moderation queue. Content reported by several different people, or corroborated by the automated checks, can be hidden immediately while a person reviews it.

The author is never told who reported them. You will not usually get a reply — the outcome is the content staying or going.

## Block someone

From their profile, or by holding your finger on something they published.

Blocking cuts visibility **in both directions**: you stop seeing them and they stop seeing you. Any follow between you is removed. They are not told, and your profile becomes indistinguishable to them from one that never existed.

## Unblock someone

**Settings ▸ Blocked accounts** lists everyone you have blocked, with one tap to reverse it.

Unblocking does not restore the follow that blocking removed — either of you can follow again if you want to.

## If someone is in danger

Contact your local emergency services first. Ntripi cannot reach anyone quickly enough to be the right first call.
