# Signing in, passwords and deleting your account > Email, Google or Apple sign-in, resetting a password, why some actions need a verified email, and how to leave. You can sign in with an email address and password, with Google, or with Apple. All three reach the same account, and you can add a password later to an account created with Google. ## I've forgotten my password Use **Forgot password** on the sign-in screen. A reset link arrives by email and is valid for a short window. If no mail arrives, check the spam folder and confirm you are using the address you signed up with. If you signed up with Google, you may have no password at all — sign in with Google instead. ## Why can't I create a trip, rate, or follow? Those three need a verified email address. Check your inbox for the verification link, or use the banner on your profile to send another. Signing in with Google on the same address also verifies it. The requirement is what keeps throwaway accounts out of the ratings and out of people's followers. ## How do I change my password? Profile ▸ edit ▸ **Security ▸ Change password**. You confirm with your current one. Changing it signs out every **other** session and keeps the one you are using — so if you are changing it because you think someone else got in, that alone removes them. ## Why does Ntripi ask my date of birth? Ntripi has a minimum age of **16**, and the [terms](/terms) say so, which means it has to be asked rather than assumed. It is never shown on your profile and never visible to another user. It is asked once and not asked again. ## My account is suspended You will have had an email explaining why, with a link to appeal. Appeals are read by a person. If you no longer have the email, the appeal form can send you a fresh link. See [hidden content and appeals](/help/hidden-content-and-appeals). ## How do I delete my account? Profile ▸ edit ▸ **Security ▸ Delete account**, confirmed with your password or with Google. It is permanent, and it takes your trips with it. If you only want to disappear from view, setting your trips to [only me](/help/share-an-itinerary-privately) and making your account private is reversible where deletion is not. --- Source: https://ntripi.app/help/sign-in-and-account-security
