How to plan transport between stops

Updated 2026-09-01

Between any two stops you can record a transit segment: how you travel, how long it takes and what it costs. A segment can have several legs, so a bus-then-train journey stays one connection rather than two unexplained gaps.

Add a connection#

Between two stops, use the add-transport control. Choose the mode — walking, cycling, bus, train, metro, taxi, car, ferry, flight — and give it a duration.

Cost is per person, in the trip's currency, and adds into the trip total alongside the stops.

Add more than one leg#

A journey rarely uses one vehicle. Add a leg for each part — the walk to the stop, the bus, the change, the train — and each keeps its own mode and duration.

The connection then shows the true door-to-door time, which is the number that decides whether the afternoon works.

Record the line and the direction#

Each leg can carry a line — M4, Bus 12, RER B — and a direction, which is the terminus shown on the front of the vehicle.

The direction is the detail that matters on the day. Knowing you want the M4 is no help on a platform with trains going both ways.

Why inserting a stop can warn you#

A connection lives between two neighbours. If you insert a new column between two that already have one, that connection no longer has anywhere to sit.

Ntripi asks before doing this rather than quietly discarding what you entered. Confirm and the affected connection is removed; cancel and nothing changes.
